Introduced as a replacement for an outdated legacy audio switcher accessory. The MDA100 features a source select toggle switch as well as an intuitive mechanical mute button. With clean, tight lines and simple flush surfaces the device compliments nicely the new suite of encore pro headset products. Developed over 12 months collaborating with the engineering team in Mexico and a manufacturing partner in Taiwan. I led the initial brainstorm and team effort as well as developed through to production my original concept. Managing a cross functional team of mechanical engineers, CMF & human factors specialists as well as graphic and UX designers. Also being the main point of contact for key partners & stake holders. The program had many challenges like keeping costs low while providing a premium look as well as perform impeccably using only mechanisms and no digital interfaces.
